Dune: Part 2 - Max

For Dune Part 2’s ad campaign for its release on Max, I was tasked with making three separate pieces of creative that targeted different audiences. Of these three, I conceptualized, scripted, and edited two separate pieces that worked to draw in both new and returning viewers. These ads were seen all across Warner Brother’s Discovery’s networks and platforms, with prime time spots in the NBA Playoffs, as well as other placements.

Creature Commandos

When making the “In the Weeks Ahead” trailer that aired after the premiere episode of Creature Commandos on Max, my goal was to have my edit match the overall tone of the characters and show - fun, emotive, and a little bit profane.

 
 

Joker: Folie à Deux - Max

Role: Producer/Editor

For Joker: Folie à Deux, the second Joaquin Phoenix delivered his “That’s All Folks” in a Foghorn Leghorn accent in full Joker makeup, I said to myself “oh that’s the final button for the trailer.” From there, I built the entire promo in my head in service of that moment, in hopes of building out a different vibe that both represented the overall tone of the film, while drawing in viewers who might be a bit more skeptical of the admittedly polarizing film.

Furiosa - Max

Role: Producer/Editor

When crafting promos for the Max release of Furiosa, I really wanted to explore the film as a revenge western, caked in oil and burnt tires, while still being true to what the fans are looking for in a George Miller work: explosions, a touch of Aussie humor, and larger than life characters and set-pieces.

 
 

The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim

When making this spot, I wanted to appeal to fans while also allowing space to bring in new audiences. That amalgamation brings us to my spot Hope, which continues the legacy of the franchise by telling the story of a woman rising up to defy expectations in the face of overwhelming struggle.

Wonka - Max

Role: Editor

Worked on a series of spots for Max for the hit film Wonka. I adapted existing creative that showed new priorities in the ad campaign, creating a wholly new work. Spots played on broadcast channels as well as digital placements.

 
 

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom - Max

Role: Producer/Editor

Cut three separate promos of creative for the launch of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom on Max. This specific spot I both scripted and edited, with a focus on Jason Momoa as a key draw for viewers. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was a success for the Max platform, staying in the top played films list for weeks.

DWRFC Promo

Role: Editor, Colorist

A promotional video about the Dolores Watershed Resilient Forest Collaborative, a Colorado-based group that provides vital ecosystem services to protect and maintain the forest and surrounding watershed for generations to come.

 
 

Volkswagen Shark Week

Role: Editor

In a co-branded effort with Discovery and Volkswagen, I was one of two editors cutting series of short videos that highlighted shark conservation, the Volkswagen brand, and Shark Week programming. This is a teaser that broadcasted on Discovery.
